Gallery in Adliya, Manama, showing modern and contemporary artists from the MENASA region and its diaspora.
About
Albareh Art Space is a gallery in Adliya, Manama, founded in 1998 and directed by Hayfa Aljishi. It shows modern and contemporary work from the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia, and from the Arab diaspora.
The gallery represents modern and contemporary artists whose work covers painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, video and installation. Its programme mixes solo and group exhibitions with special projects made with artists, and it takes part in art fairs in the region and overseas.
It was known as Albareh Art Gallery until it took its present name. The change reflects a wider range of activity, including Sikkat Albareh, its programme of workshops and creative courses.
