Nothing Worth Mentioning

Nothing Worth Mentioning is a group photography exhibition curated by Ola Allouz at Kutubna Cultural Center in Nadd Al Hamar, Dubai. It runs from 5 to 27 September 2026, with free entry.

The exhibition shows more than forty works by sixteen photographers of different nationalities, all based in the UAE. "'Can a feeling be archived?' is the question at the heart of Nothing Worth Mentioning," the venue writes. The photographs look at everyday life: personal rituals, routines, brief encounters, simple gestures and overlooked places. The idea grew from six trips on which Allouz took groups of photographers to the village of Kumzar. The moments around the table, sharing food and stories, stayed with her most.

The photographers are Abdallah Alastad, Abdulla Al Ghurair, Abdulla Alblooshi, Aisha Esmaeilzadeh, Akhilesh Nair, April Ann Vocal, Fatima Al Amiri, Fatima Albudoor, Judite Serafim, Latifa Almazrouei, Maitha Alqassmi, Maria Khodzhamberdieva, Mohamed Al Alawi, Ola Allouz, Preschelle Ann Bigueras and Sara Alshamsi. Those with published birth years were born between 1968 and 1999. Several work in street and documentary photography, and several on film, among them Alblooshi, Vocal, Al Amiri and Bigueras.

The Emirati writer Ayesha Alyassi contributes Therapy Mail Club, an interactive installation. Visitors write messages and post them in a mailbox within the exhibition.

Ola Allouz (b. 1983) is a Dubai-born visual artist and photographer and a Fujifilm brand ambassador. She founded the @foto.uae community and Archiving the Now, a project documenting cultural life in the UAE that has produced two photography books.
