In Other Words

WISP Art Space in Jal el Dib presents In Other Words, the final exhibition of its Creative Circle programme. The collective exhibition brings together six artists, Carole Nohra, Celine Al Shalah, Olivia Kobeissy, Murielle Abdo, Nour Ozeir and Shadi Safi. It opened on 18 September 2026 from 7pm to 9pm and runs until 16 October 2026, Tuesday to Saturday from 11am to 7pm.

The space describes the show as "6 artists and 6 different ways of saying what words cannot." "Throughout the Creative Circle journey," the invitation continues, "each artist explored their own ideas, experiences, and visual language, allowing what could not be said to take shape through art."

The exhibition image assembles details of works by the participants, including painted portraits, figures, interiors and a drawn eye, in a range of palettes and techniques. Rather than a single theme, the show presents the results of each artist's individual path through the programme, with the title pointing to art as a way of expressing what resists language.

The six participants are presented as artists of the Creative Circle programme; the space has not published individual biographies. The listing names them simply as "our artists", and the emphasis falls on the shared process of the programme rather than on individual careers, with each participant showing work made over the course of the Creative Circle.

In Other Words marks the close of the programme and gives the public a first view of work developed within it, in a space outside central Beirut that combines art making with exhibition.
