Shakir Hassan Al Said

Iraqi artist Shakir Hassan Al Said was born in Samawah in 1925 and died in 2004. He studied social science at the Higher Institute of Teachers in Baghdad, painting at the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad under Jewad Selim, and then at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
