Maryam Tariq

Maryam Tariq was born in 1996 and grew up in Yanbu on Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast. Her father, an engineer and amateur artist, encouraged her curiosity early, and a childhood demonstration of cymatics, salt forming patterns on a vibrating metal plate, planted a lasting fascination with frequency, pattern and the invisible forces that shape what we see. After trying business studies, she found her direction in the Visual and Digital Production programme at Effat University in Jeddah, where she also studied animation and first encountered sacred geometry and the Golden Ratio.
