Ghada Khunji

Bahraini photographer Ghada Khunji was born in Manama in 1967 and lived in New York from 1991 to 2013, where she studied at Parsons School of Design and in the International Center of Photography's documentary programme. She worked in fashion photography in the 1990s and spent eight years as a printer for photographers including Annie Leibovitz and Steven Meisel before turning to documentary work.
