Dia Al-Azzawi

Dia al-Azzawi studied archaeology at the College of Arts in Baghdad and painting at the Institute of Fine Arts under Hafidh al-Droubi. He worked with Iraq's antiquities department before settling in London in the 1970s, where he became artistic director of the Iraqi Cultural Centre.
